Check out http://www.pricewatch.com you could get a older cheap sound card for about $10 or less, with ship&handling, tax (if in the same state) you could get a card for about $20 or less. Being in the UK, that wouldn't work, but I can get a fairly cheap soundcard, just, you know, it would have been interesting to see it work..
