Hallo, I am new to Linux (I have SuSE Linux 6.3) and one of my problems is that I can't get it to look beyond ttyS1, while my internal modem is on ttyS3. It scans ttyS0 and ttyS1 and that's as far as it is looking. Another related problem is that I have now discovered that my modem is a dreaded 'winmodem', so I shall have to replace it. Are there any lists of known good internal PCI modems please?
