i run my iomega zip drive plus since kernel 2.0.36 with a adaptec 1503E scsi card (iomega zip zoom)... i just did a modprobe aha152x aha152x=0x340,9,6,1 and it detected my zip drive and if a disk was in the drive it gave me all the specs on the disk as well... btw you may have to mess with the jumpers or look to see where your jumpers are if you are runnig it on a scsi card... if not i believe you just insmod imm or something like that...... I'm trying in several ways (kernel compilation principally) to put my zip drive at work without success in SuSE 6.1, but with SuSE 5.1 kernel 2.0.33 (Infomagic) it detects at install point, like no other distro I ever tried.
Anyone install SuSE 6.1 / SuSE 6.3 and when prompting to install a kernel, selected the IOMEGA PPA... have success?
To upgrade kernel 2.2.7 in SuSE 6.1 which kernel is more stable. Download from ftp.kernel.org or amirror as a tar file is ok?
