My dealer here in Ireland has agreed to do this for me. But this is not what
I wanted, and why I oredered the DVD edition in the first place.

I looked in the hardware database, and there seems to be no mention of my
DVD drive at least.

LenZ,

You mentioned that it appears that the DVD won't work with all drives/
BIOSes. Do you know why? I have other DVD-ROMs which work perfectly. One in
particular was with an issue of PCPlus magazine which had Redhat 6.1 on it,
and this works perfectly in my drive.

But more importantly, how many others are having problems? And if there are
quite a few why is there nothing mentioned on the website?

For the record my DVD-Drive is a CL DVD-2240E. Have tried both 1.5 and 1.8
firmware on the drive with no success.

Maybe Andrew has a point about the region code. My DVD drive is a region
free drive. The region encoding is done by software, or by my decoder. Newer
drives are typically region locked. Is the SuSE DVD region encoded?
