Hello, I used the remote file access capability of emacs (Ange-ftp emacs package) without problems untill I moved to SuSe Linux 6.3, but when I try to use it now emacs asks me for the password on the remote machine (as it should) and then hangs indefinitely with a "Loading env..." message. I have standard emacs from the SuSe 6.3 CD, a clean 6.3 installation, and I checked the Ange-ftp configuration in emacs, which looks correct (program to use: "ftp" etc.) I can ftp manually without problems to the directories I am trying to access. I am doing IP masquerading for internet access, but I have the problem on my internal network too, as well as from the gateway machine towards a machine on the internet. I can't find any error message in any log file related to this, so I haven't any idea where the problem may be. Any help or suggestion highly appreciated.
