Ok, I have the two computers pinging each other. I'm still not sure if I have all the programs I need installed. I will be accessing the windos95 computer through the Linux box to run some programs (if they will run through the Linux box). The Linux box will be my connection to the internet and the windos box will connect through the linux box. Usually the internet connection will already have been made with the linux box so the windos machine will not have to dial the internet. A Tekronix Color laser printer will also be on the network. I have the following programs installed from the n series of 6.3: autofs, fetchml, inetcfg, lprold, mincom, rzsz, samba, slip, wvdial, inn, lynx, ppp, procmail and tcpdump. Is there any others I need. My next goal is to have the Linux machine access the files on the windos box. Any help setting up samba (which I need as I understand it) would be appricated. I would like this to happen auto during bootup. Since windos in on a separate computer, do I need any entries in the fstab on the linux box? tks, nevada -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
