OK I have sendmail set up to deliver mail and fetchmail to get it but I can't find where fetchmail puts it all.
I just want to set up my clients like netscape and pine to read the mail off of localhost after fetchmail is run.
I see that fetchmail is downloading mail but I can't find it.
I set it with my local user name.
Do I have to configure something else to get it delivered to my local mail box? (Where is my local mail box) I looked in /var/spool/mail but only root was there.
Which mail client are you using? You need to specify your mailbox as /var/spool/mail/username. Try sending a mail to yourself, username@localhost, then in the terminal type ls, after that you should see "You have new mail" (or something similar). If you don't see it, then you clearly have a problem. But you need to give us further details, e.g., your .fetchmailrc (omit passwords), mail client... Alvaro
Root is not getting this mail either.
Thanks for any help.
