However, I'd like to keep /home and /usr/local intact.
If I may, this is something that always bothered me a bit, yet I understand this is a difficult question. I think it would be a good idea if SuSE was finding some nice way to `/usr/local' fully alone. No `ftp', no `http', nothing, at least by default. I think `/usr/local' should be kept for local installations, those which occurred _once_ the Linux system has been installed, and which are not part of the CD-ROM. The same applies for `/home', but I think SuSE is already rather neat in this area. It is OK to install the example user there, of course. :-) -- François Pinard http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/~pinard -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
