I have a Cisco 675 router that is connect to /dev/ttyS1 (COM2 in Windows). I set up a symbolic link (ln -s /dev/ttyS1 /dev/modem) so that minicom would work. How do I get it to talk directly to the router rather than having it try to dial a modem? When using Hyperterminal in Windows, I tell it to connect directly to COM2 and it works beautifully. I know Linux can do better, but how? Also, is there an X or KDE program that is similar to Hyperterminal so that I don't have to go out to an Xterm? I'm currently running SuSE 6.3. Thanks!
