hey are these tuner cards supported in linux and if so r they hard to get running?
Depends on your mobo. There are certain chipsets that hauppauge WinTV cards just won't run with. Have look at Hauppauge's FAQ, available on their website. While it covers the WinX drivers, it's also a good indicator as to where one might have problems under Linux. But even if you don't find your chipset mentioned, it may be problematic. For instance on my TYAN Trinity 100AT, Tyan choose to use a combination of north- and southbridge of the MVP3 set that is known to have problems with AGP x 2 and busmastering. Sadly, I found out by experience :( Philipp -- Philipp Thomas <pthomas@suse.de> SuSE GmbH, Schanzaeker Str.10, D-90443 Nuremberg Life is an ocean and love is a boat, in troubled waters, it keeps us afloat Christy Moore -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
