When I'm writing a cd with XCDROAST i get the following error each time a new track is started :
"CDROM read error. Please make sure you have access permissions to /dev/SCD0".
Well, which device did you give xcdroast? /dev/SCD0 and /dev/scd0 are different names and /dev/SCD0 normally doesn't exist.
/dev/SCD0 is my cd writer and it's line in fstab is as follows :
/dev/scd0 /cdrom iso9660 ro,noauto,user,exec 0 0.
More interesting would be the permissions of both xcdroast and /cdrom. And it would also help if you'd post the exact commandline with which you call xcdroast. -- Philipp Thomas <pthomas@suse.de> If God had meant us to be brave, why did he give us legs ? -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
