Maybe my wording was slightly misleading.

All I was saying is that I download sources from their respective sites and 
compile those. I wasn't saying there was anything wrong with the MySQL that 
comes with SuSE.

It has been known for disributors to inadvertently package up the wrong 
source code and distribute it. I refer to RH. And so because of that, I just 
go to the source.

Just my preference. That's all.

It was not my intention to mislead or dis anything from SuSE. Sorry if this 
seemed to be the case.
