it upgraded my 6.2 install with only one problem of my own making.
I had been having internet connection problems with 6.2, requiring I
restart lynx or netscape three times before my homepage would show up,
and while installing 6.3 it uncovered a silly error - using 3c95x for my
3x905B TX ethernet card. When I couldn't get my ADSL router to fire
after installing 6.3 I started reading the 3com network docs in the
Linux source tree. (Open Source says it all!). It dawned on me that I
should be using 3x90x.c instead. Duh! My ADSL connection fired up the
first time and is much faster now - I had been maxing out at 40Kb/sec
during ftp transfers --- so speed test reports later.

SuSE - we need to talk... You need some help in your english translation
and/or editing. Page 338: "(Note: from at the moment, CD 2 should be
used!)" makes no sense at all.
After reading your blurb about the YaST2 bug, and comments on other
pages, I gathered that if I wanted to update an existing SuSE
installation I should boot CD 2 which uses the console version of YaST
(YaST 1). Booting CD 1 will cause the graphic version of YaST (YaST 2)
which will work ok if I am going to install LILO on the MBR or a floppy
disk, but will cause a 'fault' to occur if I install LILO to the /boot
partition of the HD. Is that what you mean?

So, other than my own stupidity and some Germanized English the SuSE 6.3
install went without any problems.
