Hi,

I have an unusual problem, which occurs on a Compaq Pentium System running SUSE
Linux 6.2.

I set the date using standard `date` utility, and this sets the time and date as
expected, it also preserves this new setting across reboots. However, once the
system is powered off, and then back on again, the date and time reverts back to
the BIOS setting. I've not seen this before on any other U*IX style O/S on
Intel.

Any ideas why Linux is not setting the clock in BIOS?

Regards,
Andrew
