Hello Linux folks,
I got a problem installing jdk1.2 and jre1.2 on my Linux box.
I downloaded these packages and untared them into /usr/lib/ as jdk1.2 and
jre1.2 directories. 
I linked: ln -s /usr/lib/jdk1.2 /usr/lib/java and ln -s /usr/lib/jre1.2 /usr/lib/jre 
After I executed SuSEconfig command (analog of linuxconfig in other distros) 
When I tried to check if java1.2 is running by executing java -version command
nothing is happened.  
When I switched over to my previous java version 1.1.7B everything was working
fine as it used to be.   
Could somebody help me to understand what I missed in installation of java1.2 package 
into my SuSE 6.2 distro? How to make my system to see a new java1.2
installation and all boundaries?
