It's not a matter of advantage. It's a matter of necessity. Some devices
(such as early ATAPI Zip drives and current CD-R units) do not use the
standard IDE/ATAPI protocal, but speak SCSI instead. The IDE-SCSI emulation
module is needed for them to work to their fullest.
