i have suse 6.2 installed on an 1 gig scsi hd on a ten year old aha1542
adapter, i had a problem about it complaining about a "bad magic block" on
the 1 gig disk, so i installed lilo and the boot partition on a 237 meg
scsi disk, boots up fine, but i would like to get rid of the small disk,
since it makes a hell of a whining noise. I tries fixing the magic block
with e2.fsck but no. i thought installing lilo on the big disk would
perhaps be able to overwrite the bad magic block. Result, no more
complaints about "bad magic block", but now i have the following:
the output does not sound katastrophic, and it contains my root partion

small scsidisk, which i only use for the 8 meg boot partion :(
