Thanks for the tips , cant get to any of the local swap meets for couple
more weeks , Tied up here at work for at least the next two , so I will
have to mail order what ever I need. So I want something that I know will
work the first time throgh , don't want to ship stuff back , between
shipping it back and restocking fees , you loos alll the savings there.

Aha , thats where they are going , now that third tier compuer makers can
throw together a basic WindoZe machine for $300.00 , its getting harder to
find used machines at the shoes. The prebuilt ones are built for windoZs
and will choke on linux , due to all the incompatable hardware thet meny of
them use , to keep the cost down.
Thats what keeps me from picking one up. For a "middle of the road" and
above machine , you might as well build it your self , that way you know it
will work.
Now that linux 9is growing , hopefully the third tear seller will mek some
changes , and hopefully as linux gets more mainstreamed , we will see more
drivers/support for all that "generic" hardware. Will have to do something
on this issue to realy take on M$ , especialy with all those marginaly
compatable machines allready out there.
