Ah yes, but you forgot this one that happens regularly
around here:
When you move your PC to an experiment across the hall:
a) unplug the network calbe and leave it unplugged. We
love to go hunting for loose ends, and/or
b) feed the network cable across the hallway. They can
handle a 500 pound trolley running across them.
