I believe he's talking about doing it the ugly way, passing parameters to
the kernel from LILO. When you boot, you can say to LILO, `linux
hdd=ide-scsi', and LILO will tell the kernel that the hdd device needs the
ide-scsi module to run, which is ugly and unnecessary. Fortunately, YaST's
boot configuration tools for LILO have the capacity to do this
automatically.
