i have one of these cards -- it keeps having autonegotiation problems and
as a result sometimes it can not ping. the only solution is a reboot.
loading and unloading modules does not help nor plugging/unplugging the
cable.
it does not have any problems under windows, what leads me to believe that
this is the device driver problem.
maybe it uses some unusual protocol for autonegotiation...
try getting a linksys hub ;-)
