Well they are less common but they are known, especially when you get
kicked out of X.
Here is an interesting one that I am experiencing on an alpha station:
I posted this on the SuSE AXP list without any response so far.

I am happy to report that X is now running on my alpha station (AS 250
4/266). I am currently using KDE as the desktop. There is a weird
problem with it though:

Whenever I try to start a kvt virtual terminal by pressing the button
at the bottom of the screen, X terminates with the following error:

Fatal server error:
Caught signal 4. Server aborting

Perhaps I should mention that the line just before this message says:
Some pixmaps are not valid: GimmickMode disabled.

I should also like to add that I use a PBXGA TGA video card and the
server is run in 8bit depth at 1024x768.

Anybody know what signal 4 is and how to repair this so that I can use
the virtual terminal? Xterm does not have a problem, by the way.

Best regards, Alex.
