Well, that is what I originally had thought as well. But that file is
ages old (August 14, 1999) and I have definitely booted up my machine a
couple of times since then. I should mention that this is an alpha
station running SuSE AXP 6.1.
I thought that the boot message file would be overwritten every time
there was a reboot with the new messages put in place. Apparently, that
is not how it works on my machine.
Is there a switch that I have to throw to make this happen?
Best regards, Alex.
