Hello Linux folks!
I tried to connect Linux box and Winblows NT 4.0 box over SMB protocol.
I can mount all NT shared directories on Linux box and use shared printer
attached to NT box with no problems.
However when I try to open Linux shared directory from NT box I'm getting
the message: " \\Linux is not accessible The format of the specified network
name is invalid."
I can see the both boxes Linux and Winblows in Network Neighborhood window on
NT box, but I can't open shares on Linux box.
Could somebody clarify what does it mean "The format of the specified network
name is invalid" ? What is a proper format for Winblows my LOCALNET network
name?
I couldn't find any clarification in on this issue in Winblows NT Help
System. Every time this "Help System" sends me to a mythical System
Administrator.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Alex
