Hi,

Why didn't you buy SuSE 6.2?
It's very easy to install ever SuSE distro. I had some problems with SuSE 6.1 but 6.2 overcame all these issues.

You're more lucky than I was about year and a half ago.
I reinstalled SuSE 5.3 about ten times. The same luck I had with Red Hat but this didn't stop me from learning Linux and particularly SuSE distro. Now it's my favorite and only desktop OS.

Could you please repost or send me your questions. May be the key is in reading SuSE or general Linux documentation related to your questions. Did you get any additional Linux books or manuals?
I'm also not always receiving ready answers on my questions posted on the SuSE list. But it doesn't make me upset. When I find the answers by myself it makes me stronger in understanding of Linux rather when I'm getting ready answers on the plate with the blue rim.

These are normal things for beginner who came from M$ Winblows.

Why do you think that you won't have a problem with Red Hat?
Only because your brother knows this distro? But you are not him.
Even with Red Hat you'll have your personal learning curve.

Because your brother said so?!
All Linux diostributions in general are the same, they are using the same kernel. I don't know what to fight here about.
RH or SuSE? It's just a matter of your personal choice.
May be you just a whiner?
