I am trying to configure a new second ISP on my SuSE 5.3. So far one year
connecting to Internet with one ISP with no problem, but when I go into the
kppp and configure the second ISP, connection refuses and it cannot be
made.

In /var/log/messages I can read this message:

pppd 2.2.0 started by user UID 500
using interface ppp0
connect: ppp0<-->/dev/modem
terminating on signal 15
connection terminated
receive serial link is not 8-bit clean:
problem: all had bit 7 set set to 1.
Exit.

I am doing it with PAP (not CHAP).

As I said, so far so good, but not with a second ISP.

Any help greatly appreciated.
