  Oh yeah, that Jon, nothing but trouble :) Actually, my guess would be
that somehow Kmail is changing the visual properties of the mail messages
received based on certain settings you may have set in preferences.
  Kmail is an HTML based mail prgram which like Netscapes Messenger and
Outlook are capable of viewing, receiving and sending messages in HTML
format. The problems though are that fonts settings in one, arn't always
compatible in the others.
  This is typically why you will often see messages that say, "Please
disable HTML and send messages in plain text." I know this doesn't FIX
your problem, but it may give insight to why your problem is occuring.
