If you have the manual, look for the hsync and vsync parameters and
enter these in -I think it's expert mode- sax / xf86setup.
On some occasions though, I wasn't able to set the card to higher res as
well. It might be a case of trial and errror as well by testing some
monitors from the list. But be careful not to overjudge your monitors
abilities and have a few fingers handy for ctrl+alt+backspace.
