Had this issue in both 6.1 and 6.2 no clue what may be causing it. 
After a few arbitrary minutes in KDE it locks up. If I catch it fast
enough <ctrl><alt><bs> can kill the Xserver and I am fine.  If I dont
catch it fast enough, my keyboard stops responding and it is like a hard
lock up, and I must hit the power button.  For now I am using KDE with
Windowmaker as a workaround so I do not use the following KDE modules:
1) kbgndwm
2) krootwm
3) kwm
Does anyone have any clues, fingers to point to where to begin looking?
