You're using *what* setting? The Vivitron family was based on a Sony Trinitron tube and aperature, while the CrystalScan series was (no offense) one of the saddest, cross-section of a beach ball-lookin', eye-waterin', retina-burnin' monitor family I've ever used. Try setting it up as an early 17" Trinitron.

Then, when you're done figuring out what tube you have, use Xvidtune to try and streatch the image before it hits the monitor.
