This isn't exactly a fix, but I've found a coupel of quick work-arounds:
Mount the CD
Start YaST
Go to Choose/Install packages
Select Install Packages
Select /cdrom/suse as the install-from directory.
or:
Start YaST with CD001 in the drive
Go to Choose/Install packages
Select Load Configuration
Reselect whichever one you chose on setup
Go to Create/Change Configuration
Adjust the packages from the master list to your taste.
I personally find YaST less and less appealing for post-setup package installation, since it doesn't have support for symlinks yet. I usually just mount the disc, and rpm -ivh from /cdrom/full-names/i386/. This has the added bonus of checking deps, which YaST doesn't seem to do for me. If you want a `prettier' interface, try KPackage from the kpa series (if you have KDE running), or GNORPM (which I don't believe is included) under GNOME.
