[SLE] VMware installation SuSE 6.2

Greetings to you all and hope you could help me with VMware problem #2 - my
previous problem was getting the licence key, which has been resolved.

Having run the configuration Wizard successfully to install Windows 98 as the
Guest system, I find now a divergence from the documented procedure and the
actual installation.

As per documentation (SuSE Help system) the steps are:
1) Launch VMware application with the Win98.cfg file.
2) Insert Win98 CD-ROM
3) Power on the VM
4) Choose "Boot from CD-ROM". Then select the "Start Windows 98 Setup from
CD-ROM option"

Actually when I perform steps 1 to 3 above I get a message "Operating system
not found" and I am unable to choose or select as per step 4 because there
are no such options to be found! I could boot Windows 98 from a bootable floppy
however, but on then trying to run SETUP.EXE on the WIN98 CD-ROM the message
was "unable to create /temp folder". No amount of 'resetting and re-inserting
the CD-ROM' helps either. I feel rather scared to run FDISK at this point
because I do not want to risk losing my existing Win98 OS!

What now I wonder. For the time being I cannot proceed further!
