Hi list,
can I bother you with one more question, this one concerning
the automatic start of acroread whenever netscape encounters a
.pdf file. This used to be a given feature in previous
releases. With 4.61 in SuSE 6.2 it just downloads the file.
Obviously acroread is available in the distribution and the
only problem is to teach netscape to start it up when needed.
I went ahead and edited the navigator applications to include
pdf using application/pdf for the MIME type, .pdf as the suffix
and acroread as the application that should take over.
Unfortunately, what happens is now that acroread gets started
whenever netscape tries to read a pdf file, but nothing gets
displayed and the downloaded file gets dumped into a temporary
file on /tmp. Any pointers to how to resolve this would be
highly appreciated.
tia,
Alex.
