Kira's forwarding the problem to the kernel core team (she's in charge
of the AMD Elan/SC410 port). We used this fine on 6.0, but we were on
2.0.36 then, so it looks like it might be broken in 2.2.x and we're the
first to come across it, which is still amazing.
