Hello all,
Just to make sure that i'm going to do everything right .( Never thought
that i'll need sound for Linux :)))
SInce many people here already used alsa i think you'll help me not repeat
possible mistakes.
I have Yamaha DS-XG sound card and going use ALSA drivers for it.
SuSE 6.2. from the box.
Questions:
1) Should i recompile kernel to amke sound support as module or it's
default and i can just use load ????
2) Which driver is recommended from SuSE ditribution CD or lates one from
alsa site ?
3) Where i can find alsaconf utility ?
I have tried to use that one alsa web site .. after all configuration,
making, etc. i've try to depmod and get a lot of message about snd* drivers
dependences errors.
If i installed from SuSE CD there it put all modules ? because i didn't
find them .
Best regards
Alexey Volovoy
