I also tried installing a few at a time. It usually errors on the first
one, sometimes I can get as many as 9.

My install went the same way. I have a new PentiumPro 180 I
have just put
together. After several tries and changing out the CD-ROM, I
finally did a
minimal install. After that install was completely done I
then went back to
YaST and installed packages I wanted in groups at a time.
After all of that
SuSE runs fine. The only other problem I have had w/ it, has
been booting
from the floppy is EXTREMELY slow.

Aiee, IIRC, this is a kernel error message.

This is not a YaST bug. The kernel gets messed up somehow.
Do you
overclock your machine? What kind of hardware do you have?
Have a closer
look at the warnings on console 4.

Bye,
