[SLE] Terminal Emulation

Hello all,
For work I have to telnet into some HP boxes and I find I get the best
emulation from using wterm with $TERM set to vt220. My F1-F12 keys
function the "most properly" with this combination. My only problem now
is that I also need keys to function as PF1-PF4. Does anyone now how I
could bind <shift><F1> to be PF1, <shift><F2> to be PF2 and so on? Any
ideas greatly appreciated.
Also I have been using KDE w/WindoWmaker for a looong time now and
decided to go straight KDE for a bit. The problem is KDE keeps freezing
up! When I use WindowMaker I dont use kpanel, kbgndwm, krootwm or kwm
and I have never had a lock up with this combination. If I catch the
lockup fast enough I can <ctrl><alt><bs> to kill X and restart it.
Otherwise my keyboard stops responding and it "appears" to be a hard
lockup? Any ideas?
