Yeah, why're you wasting my bandwidth? ;)

internet setup and this is the first message sent through Linux. :-)
Fantastic stuff, man! Congratulations!

with WindozZ and paying 'bill'.

it's up to you to make sure that you help other people with their problems,

Sincerly, good luck! I didn't have any trouble using the default 6.2
packages, but I couldn't ever get custom code to work right. Keep us
posted...

Why, only the finest environment there is, sir! I like KDE+XFWM,
personally. They get along together quite nicely.

We're still here, aren't we? I don't know how much help I can be with
your more sophisticated networking ventures, but together, we can sort
anything out, right? :)

SuSE 6.2 and only SuSE give me a very stable platform, the other two are
rather unstable, dunno why?
Because Mandrake is based very heavily on Red Hat, and Red Hat 6 was
(IMHO) a product that wasn't ready for market yet. I like Mandrake's speed,
but I'm not willing to put up with it's Red Hat legacy and all that goes
with it. Red Hat 6 is glibc2.1, but it's not even a stable release of 2.1.
SuSE 6.2, OTOH, is a stable 2.1 system.

That's what I said about six months ago. :) I played with Mandrake, too,
but decided it wasn't worth the headache.

started playing Linux in about 3 months ago, but with the help from this
list, I've learn lots of things way before I need them.
I'll tell you, I've learned more in the last three months by subscribing
to this list than I learned in three years of using Linux on my own! Stick
around, it'll be fun!

I love stories with happy endings. Not that this one is anywhere near the
end...;)
