With the advent of the nVidia Riva TNT2, TNT prices are starting to fall.
I like my Voodoo Banshee as well. The nVidia-optimized servers are reported
to be wickedly fast in X Windows, though I can't speak from experience on
that one... I like my STB GlyderMax2 (Permedia2v chipset) and it's PCI
knock-off brand brother that I've been running for several months.
Don't buy a SiS. I wouldn't advise an ATi (I have a personal grudge, so
ignore that last recommendation). Matrox servers for the older family (Not
the G400, G200's, I hear, are still shady). Don't buy an S3 Savage series.
What do you want? I'm sure that those of us on the list that have lots of
experience with so many cards would be more than happy to relate our
experiences. :)
