OK, I tried to re-install. The packages puked after 9 (localdb). Same
error, out of freelists. Now everytime I boot, Linux thinks that I
haven't completed the install, loads YaST and makes me answer 20
questions to get out. I don't mind that much, but my wife will go nuts.
In my experience with other systems (HP-UX, AIX), freelists are a kernal
resource setting. Could there be a problem with the number of freelists
available?
Thanks,
Jim
