Isn't this a known bug with netscape and 24bpp with ... change to 16bpp
in SaX etc and see if that helps...

Subject: [SLE] Mozilla in SuSE 6.2
Hi Folks:
Got SuSE 6.2 loaded and working (mostly). Had trouble getting
my Diamond
Stealth II S-220 video card working under 6.2, never had this problem
under
6.1. Anyway, it working.
Under KDE, when I tried to run Mozilla (version that came with
6.2), the
ENTIRE screen gets very dark except for the Mozilla window background
which
remains at normal brightness. The Mozilla border, titlebar, menubar,
etc
also get dark and hard to read.
Has anyone got an idea what might be causing this? I've
searched for a
configuration file but have only found a registery (are we copying M$
now?)
and a preferences file that is empty.
TIA,
Tom
