something like kmail and click on a link for kfm, then you will get the
folders. I think you can add the following to activate the autostart
feature, which runs whenever kfm starts up.
Right. But I'm not talking about using KDE apps under XFCE, as you
describe it. We are talking about *integrating* KDE and XFCE. With the
modifications to the startkde script I posted, you are able to use KFM and
XFCE without risk (KFM dying, KWM and XFWM fighting for window control,
etc). It also allows some extent of themeability, since KDE is able to
extend it's window control functions to non-KDE apps (themeability is *very*
limited with XFCE, I find).

experiment by trying a few things such as starting KDE after Xfce is already
running without changing anything in your startekde file. You will find that
KDE automatically adjusts and lets you use the Xfce window manager.
Yes. One thing that my grandmother always said was, "There's more than
one way to skin a cat." When I was younger, the thought of skinning
(removing the outer flesh of) a cat was disgusting, but later I learned that
it was a figure of speach. One of the things that I love about Linux is how
much freedom of choice I have. This includes what distro I run, which
window manager I use, and basically everything else :). Another one of my
favorite phrases is, "There is no `right' way to do something; only ways
that work, and ways that don't. However, some ways work better than
others."

Thanks for your thoughts. Now, let's go skin some cats! ;)
