Hi Folks,
Are any of you out there having problems posting mail to
the list because a "Return-Path:" header gets inserted into
your headers which differs from your subscribed amail address
(as in the "From:" or "Sender:" or even "Reply-To:" fields?
If so, I should be pleased to hear from you (to the address
at the end of this mail; also "Reply-To:" etc as in headers!
Since you won't be able to reply to the list if you're in
this case, please make sure you to reply to my personal
email address.
I have been having this problem since midday Friday: apparently
the new ezmlm server insists on taking my email address from
the "Return-Path" header, and this is NOT the address subscribed.
This is new since Friday -- Inever hadthis problem before.
While I have a work-round (which is very tedious) nto all of you
may have one available.
I'd like to point out to the List Managers that the sender's
email address should, according to RFC 822 etc, be taken from
the "Sender:", "Reply-To:" or "From:" headers. This is NOT
what the "Return-Path" address is for!
best wishes,
Ted.
