full duplex with ESS 1868 / ESS 1878 sound chipset

Hello all,
has anybody ever managed to get the ESS 1868 / ESS 1878
onboard soundchipset working in full duplex audio? If so pls let me
know how and let me know where you found the info about that.
Since the last week I read a lot of docu from OSS and other
sources refering to this topic, without success in getting it to work.
By the way this chipsets supports full duplex by hardware.
I know this might have been posted before, but as I can't browse
the archives (I just get a page not found, so I suppose it has
something to do with the new software of www.suse.com) I have to
ask again.
