I cant afford a new CD at the moment couse I am a student with no income - except my pocket money which isn't verry high :( I have reformated my previous SuSE installation and installed win. I have checked the whoel hard disk and neither dos's scandisk nor windows's found any erros (I scanned the surface). Now I have reinstalled SuSE 6.0 from the CD and the errors are back. This was reported in sylog after unpacking the StarOffice tar package on the disk:

I'm willing to bet it's the kernel you are using: it might just not be set up right for your hardware. Get the latest kernel 2.2.10, configure it and compile it, I bet that will see the back of your problems.
