I cant afford a new CD at the moment couse I am a student with no income - except my pocket money which isn't verry high :( I have reformated my previous SuSE installation and installed win. I have checked the whoel hard disk and neither dos's scandisk nor windows's found any erros (I scanned the surface). Now I have reinstalled SuSE 6.0 from the CD and the errors are back. This was reported in sylog after unpacking the StarOffice tar package on the disk:

I installed a 6.4GB WDC a few months ago. I set the LBA and MultiSector
mode to YES, with a sector count of 16.
C H S MB
default 13328 15 63 6.449
current 13328 15 63 6.449
RAMBIOS INT13 785 255 63 6.457
When I partitioned it I let SuSE do it and didn't attempt to edit the 2
GB partitions to eliminate overlap. No problems yet, even when I had a
power failure and had to fsck manually during boot a couple of weeks
ago.

Linux, because it's STABLE, the source code is included, the price is
right.
