I just installed SuSE Linux 6.1 and installed with YAST my HP Deskjet 600 as
"deskjet" as there is no specific entry for the HPD 600.

Being in my KDE-desktop I wanted to print a HTML-file (a help file from KDE)
but the output of the printer was only a lot of lines with letters. I tried
to stop the printing with lprm, but I got as a reaction "no entry".
After more than 10 pages I turned off the printer. Of course the printing
halted. After that I exited Linux.

When I started Linux again today the printing started anew. I thought it
might be for a few more pages so I did let it go. But after more than 30!!
pages only letters I turned the printer of again.

This is printer madness and I don't know how to stop is.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Ton
