I think you miss my point, partly. With this method, one still has to know the
locations of all the directories where the rpms are stored. This in fact varies
over time. If the directories on the suse ftp server were mountable via nfs (as
some are - have a look in your /etc/auto.misc for an example) then one could
write a script to sniff out the rpm locations. But I don't know of any way to
make the process automatic over plain ftp :o(
