Hi all,
may your Linux Boxen be going well.
Now, about this business to do with various versions of 6.1....
We say in logic, that let.
a = a.
Programers & logicians in the house, know what I am talking about.
Therefore, if and only if, when 6.1 under goes an improvement or change,
it logically follows that it is no longer 6.1 but some other beastie,
like 6.1a or some such thing. Not making this explicate, causes errors
and these have been spoken to in various posts to this list.

I don't agree. Jeff Lasman made some reasonable criticisms about SuSE's
product,
which those of us who are using it for something more than a hobby would
like to
see addressed. I don't recall him making any personal attacks on the
SuSE staff,
either. Your defence of SuSE - and Thorsten's surprisingly
unprofessional
treatment of SuSE customers - seems kind of knee-jerk to me. It doesn't
add
anything constructive, it just raises the temperature.
All those present on this list support SuSE and their product to some
degree,
there's no other reason for us to be here. But some of us would like it
to
continue to improve so that we don't need to consider switching
distributions at
the next upgrade cycle."
Ditto what you said Ralph.
Jeff Lasman, thanks for your reasonable and constructive criticisms.
Jerry Lynn Kreps by all means disagree with who ever, but drop all this
personal attack stuff, please.... This list is a cool place, because
there is a constructive but not a Disney land like uncritically
constructive forum. So lets keep it cool, eh?
Greek Geek.
P.S, it is good to see other Greeks posting here! :-)
