I believe the more apt question is whether Exchange can be configured to
act as an SMTP and POP3 or IMAP4 server. I believe the answer is yes.
I doubt Netscape will support the nasty MS extensions, but they aren't
necessary to get and send mail.

The features you have mentioned here are all mail/contact management
features. KOrganizer exists, though I have not used it. So does xplan,
which has been fine for me. Office97 includes many programs and it is
difficult te guess what you are looking for, but take a look at Applixware
and KOffice.
